Today Alena and Roberto are tying the knot in front of 350 of their closest friends and family. We are so excited for their huge celebration… partly because they have an amazing team of vendors and partly because Lindsay is a friend of the bride’s family. Their ceremony will take place at California’s oldest church – Mission San Diego de Alcala where Alena will walk down the aisle to mariachi music.

Joe and Aaliya met under a totally unique circumstance. You see, Joe had planned an epic date. He was all ready to go and meet his potential beau when… he got stood up.
So, what to do? He went to BJ’s Restaurant to sulk over a cold beer. Enter BJ’s bartender Aaliya. Seeing that Joe was a bit bummed, she struck up a conversation with him and boom – a romance was born!
Today, at the very cool El Cortez in downtown San Diego, the couple will tie the knot. A huge congratulations to the happy couple and thank you so much for including First Comes Love in your big day!

We’ve loved working with Barbara and Matt for their wedding. Today, the couple will be married at Balboa Park followed by a reception at the Spanish Village Art Center – which is going to be super fun and colorful!
Here’s their love story:
Matt’s friend and Barbara’s coworker, Christian had been telling her about Matt for quite a while. She’d never met him yet, but wasn’t really interested in being set-up at the time. She wanted to enjoy being single for awhile!
They met briefly in October 2007 at East Village Tavern (where their wedding after party will be) and then again in January 2008 (at the same bar!) and this time, he knew he couldn’t let her slip away. He got her digits from Christian and from there, Matt and Barbara texted and emailed back and forth. Still, nothing happened. On Mother’s Day 2008, they had their first date.
At the end of August 2008, Matt told Barbara that he felt like what they had was “more than dating” and that “this feels like more than just friends……this feels like…….us!”
