Kelly and Omid are such a cool couple. I have loved every minute of working with these two to plan their intimate French themed wedding, which will happen later today at Estancia La Jolla. They truly love each other and I cannot wait to share in their big day – which will be filled with lots of surprises for their guests!
A special thank you to True Photography for sharing these fabulous engagement photos!
CONGRATULATIONS KELLY AND OMID!

Jill and David are a love story long in the making. They went to high school together but their paths didn’t cross then. Fast forward to today and they are getting married at Rancho Bernardo Inn in an intimate ceremony and reception for their very closest friends.
Here is their story from their perspective:
David and I attended the same high school, Torrey Pines, however our paths never crossed. It wasn’t until we were both attending college locally that we met, when a mutual friend introduced us.
Over several months, David and I got to know each other as friends before deciding to date in November of 2007.
Getting to know each other was a lot of fun, Padres and Chargers games, the shooting range and K-1 Go Kart Racing. Additionally we joined one another’s families on several vacations including Mammoth Mountain, New Jersey, and Maui.
Things started getting serious when we added new members to our “family” including; Vienna the cat and our German Shepherd Tessa.
We dated four years before David proposed. David asked both my parents, Steven and Hollis, for my hand in marriage before he popped the question to me, on our four-year anniversary. David took me back to the exact place we met and got down on one knee! Afterward, we celebrated with an evening of dinner and drinks in La Jolla.
We are so happy for the happy couple and can’t wait to help with their big day!

Love, love, love Danielle and Kevin!!! This couple is so sweet, down to earth and truly love each other! We’ve had the opportunity to work with them over the past year to plan their beautiful wedding at the stunning Grand Del Mar.
The couple met, fell in love and 5 years later got engaged. Here is the proposal story from their perspective.
My dad had made last minute plans to come to town for work and my mom joined him to visit with us. She brought the ring down from San Francisco (where it was being custom made). Friday night we met up with them for a nice dinner at our favorite place, Flemings, for prime steaks. Apparently, my mom had the ring in her purse the whole time – I was wondering why she was abnormally clutching onto it for dear life. The ring box was much too big to fit into Kevin’s pocket and couldn’t get time away alone together long enough to pass off the ring – so it wasn’t going to happen that night. We had a great day Saturday with my mom, out and about in San Diego, and planned a casual night, BBQ and games, at our house. With plans for my mom and I to go grocery shopping for dinner, she stealthily planted the ring box in our bathroom, so while we were gone Kevin could finally get the look he had been DYING for and re-hide it. We had a fun night of backyard burgers and Wii bowling with my Mom, Dad, Boba Steve and Katy. 5 minutes after everyone left, Kevin proposed, I was in complete shock. He had all these elaborate plans to take me on a boat and serenade me around the bay, but couldn’t wait to put the ring on my hand 1 minute longer!! I loved that it was just us, in our house, with our doggie – perfectly us. We concluded our special night with a champagne celebration at my parents’ hotel.
Here is the inspiration board we created to guide the design of their wedding:

Kristin and Scott met and fell in love at UCSB. The couple is down-to-earth and private and they wanted a venue that reflected that. Since the bride grew up in La Jolla, it was only natural to look locally (especially since there are so many fabulous places to get married here) and settled on La Valencia for their intimate wedding. We can’t wait to celebrate with them today.
Check out their engagement photos (they went back to UCSB for the shoot – so cute!) from their LA based photographer Karen Ard.
CONGRATULATIONS KRISTIN AND SCOTT!!!
