Today is the one year anniversary of First Comes Love couple Monica and Larry! We LOVED, LOVED, LOVED working with them on their bright, rock and roll wedding – which featured a Tiffany blue and burgundy color scheme. Their wedding day started at the Hard Rock Hotel in downtown San Diego followed by a morning ceremony at Point Loma’s Admiral Kidd Club (check out Larry in his dress blues!)
At the end of the ceremony the couple exiting through a sword detail and then treated their guests to a lunchtime reception complete with a taco station, photo booth and lots of other fun treats. But the fun didn’t stop there! After the reception, they headed downtown for an after party (one that people are still talking about!)
A very happy anniversary to Monica and Larry!!!

I’ve been working with Emily and Mike for the past year and a half to plan their big day. The couple met by chance. As neighbors in Sacramento, they met in the hallway of their building and soon began hanging out. That blossomed into love and when Mike knew that Emily was the one, he flew to the Mid West to ask her family for permission to propose.
With the okay from her family, Mike came back to San Diego with a postcard from Kansas City explaining what he did. He packed a picnic and took Emily up to Cabrillo National Park. Overlooking the bay, Mike proposed and Emily said yes!
Today the happy couple will wed at El Cortez and will use neutral colors and succulents to tie in their romantic vintage feel. Plus they have special touches like a mac and cheese bar and cheesecakes instead of a traditional wedding cake (yum!)
Congratulations Emily and Mike!!! We wish you a lifetime of happiness together.
Thank you Love Art Photography for sharing their engagement photos!

Elena and Drew are a totally sweet couple! Instead of opting for a traditional evening reception, the two will wed in a place very close to the bride’s heart… her parent’s private estate in Del Mar. We’ll transform their stunning grounds to a ceremony location overlooking the Pacific, with a fun brunch reception to follow (even including bocce, a giant chess board and more!)
A huge congratulations to Elena and Drew!!! We wish you all the best. And thanks to our buddy Maurice over at Betwixt Studio for allowing us to share his work – they had a great engagement session!
